5. Unit Testing Project

Outcome

You would be able to complete the Real-Time Project In just 2 days and can directly contribute to the project in your company from Day1. Just follow the steps with the help of the Technical coordinator.

Task

1. Collect the Project Jars and Documentation of the Project to be tested from Technical Co-ordinator.

2. Create a test maven project “JAVAAPITest”.

3. Import the project jars into the Test Project(CalcAppSourceCodev1.0).

4. Refer to the documentation of the Project to be tested for the packages, classes, and methods.

5. Create a separate Java file to test each class method

6. Write at least 5 test methods for each Class APIs using JUnit

7. Run the individual test script

8. Run all the test scripts written in a class

9. Run all the test scripts of the Project using runner

10. Analyze the errors/defects and report them to the developer through JIRA- Bug Tracking Tool.

11. Log at least 5 defects in JIRA and assign them to the developer

12. Collect the JARs of the Project after fixing the reported defects, Import the project jars into the Test Project.

13. Validate the defects fixed and assigned back to you, close or reopen them as per the functionality.

14. Generate the automation Test report for the project and share it with the Technical Manager.

15. Run / Schedule the scripts from the CI(Jenkins or any other tool) tool and generate the reports.
